Why Litter?
In these days and times, there is no excuse for littering or illegal trash dumping in developed countries. There are proper places and procedures in place to get rid of unwanted material and waste. In all cases, it is some combination of ignorance and laziness that results in littering or dumping. Simply put... stupid people litter.
If people really understood the effects and consequences of littering and dumping, they would probably not do it...
Littering and dumping causes problems with groundwater contamination, animal poisoning, and brings down property values. It is an eye sore that clogs drainage systems, blocks walkways, and can create health and fire hazards. Grafitti, garbage, broken down cars... man made creations from low lifes, who just don't care. Being poor is no excuse. Trash promotes negative mental images and thoughts. Problems including crime, will increase as areas become trashed. Families with reasonable living standards will not live near trash infested areas. Who wants to live near trash? So, keep your neighborhood clean, and you will help keep responsible people as your neighbors.
